Danielle Miga

Front End Developer & Designer

I'm a freelance front end developer in New York City. One day, when I was a kid, I put down my game of pokemon long enough to discover web design and code. Four years ago I decided I wasn't kidding anyone and gave in to the nerd side — I traded in my painstaking psychology degree for a more enjoyable one in computer programming. When I'm not playing developer I'm usually knitting all the things and wishing for a puppy.

Websites are like puzzles. There could be many ways to solve them, but I like to be parsimonious (there's your word of the day). I specialize in coding user interfaces for desktop and mobile devices. I get particularly excited about responsive design and new technologies. Sure, I can make a perfectly nice, clean site suitable for IE8 (read: boring), but I'd much rather play with all the new toys to make sites that make you go "dude that's awesome". But we're all adults here, and we need to provide solid sites that get the point across no matter what. That's where I come in. *cue theme music*
